Day 72: As We Enter October, We Can Taste the Finish Line

Been busy getting more stuff done: We ordered the additional cabinets we're adding to the kitchen; purchased the travertine tile that will grace our bathroom (which will be small but thanks to the tile, whirlpool and Kohler toilet/pedastal sink, pretty nice); and have picked out the kitchen floor tile. We still need to finalize what we're doing with the kitchen counter and backsplash... and also figure out the timing on all of this.

The new roof drainage... still needs a spout to carry the water to the ground.



And yes, the garage... with the wood pretty much in place, next step should be the roofing.

And here's the view from the back of the backyard. It's like a mini complex, with the large garage, bigger house and existing guest house. From here, behind the garage, we hope to eventually create a mini garden get away, with plants, benches, etc.

Tomorrow, it's the return of the inspector... let's hope everything goes smoothly!
